Boarding House

Overlooking the lush green sports field and the Olympic size swimming pool is the Golden Jubilee Hostel – a home away from home. The students are under the guidance of the Incharge – Pastoral Care Modern School Boarding House, Col. Rajesh Menon, who helps them in their all round development. The double – storeyed building has 31 air conditioned rooms, a common room and a library, with the latest magazines and newspapers. The infirmary is close at hand, to give the hostel boys a secure atmosphere. Delicious and wholesome meals are prepared and served in extremely hygienic surroundings at the Dining Hall. Hostel Recreation includes all facilities available in the school, including a T.V room. Supervised studies are conducted daily in an organised manner. The students have access to the internet. The hostel remains closed in summer vacations, which begin in May and continue till the end of June, winter vacations begin during December and the autumn break is in mid- October. The students are allowed to go to their local guardians on the weekends. Students are also taken to theatre, exhibitions, films and other events in Delhi. Excursions and field trips are arranged from time to time.

The Centenary Block housing the Girls Hostel was inaugurated on 12th January 2024. Facilities like AC rooms, TV room and study area are available in the girls hostel. The mess facilities are shared with the Golden Jubilee Hostel. Experienced staff, security and medical facilities are available round the clock.

Four students share a spacious, well-lit and air conditioned room with adequate space for storage, rest and studies. There are a total of 26 such rooms divided between three floors with sufficient wash room facilities on each floor. The boarders are known for their spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie. Zero tolerance for the slightest instance of bullying or ragging ensures a healthy & tension free atmosphere for all residents which is a must for holistic development.

Retinue of well trained kitchen staff churn out variety of healthy & nutritious meals and snacks for the boarders. The very essential for happy, energetic and motivated students. All meals are partaken in the spacious, airy, well- lit and air conditioned dining hall.

The boarding house boasts of a well equipped gymnasium for fitness enthusiasts.The racquet friendly try their hands at the TT tables which are placed adjacent to the gymnasium .

A modernite is known for his intelligence, independent thinking and self reliance. However, to prod them into a healthy routine, two supervised prep periods are followed on all week days in the dining area. Majority of keen students also make use of the tuition cum self- study rooms during their free time, in addition to the prep periods.

The Olympic size school swimming pool is a stone throw away from the boarding house, allowing the students to use the facility even after school hours.

The Boarding House is surrounded with best of sports infrastructure which includes Football and Cricket (including net facility) grounds, tennis, basketball and squash courts and an indoor badminton facility. Boarders also have an outdoor badminton court right next to their hostel to indulge their sporting spirits. The residents are presented with plethora of opportunities for honing their skills in the game of their choice, as also to remain fit and healthy.

The school boasts of an active horse riding arena, only a few hundred feet away from the boarding house, which provides a wonderful opportunity to keen riders.

The residents of the Golden Jubilee hostel are provided round the clock first aid medical facility and our Wellness Centre is manned by a male nurse at all times. Children requiring specialized medical attention are referred to good doctors and specialists in reputed medical establishments.
