Named after the great Mughal emperor, Abū al-Fatḥ Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Akbar, who reigned from 1556 to 1605, the members of Akbar House are encouraged to learn from the life of this great ruler, and espouse his beliefs of unity, diversity, tolerance, and a love of culture. Apart from academics, Akbar House members showcase a wide variety of talents, ranging from singing to dance and art on various fora.

Takes its inspiration of being focused and revolutionary for the cause of the hapless and downtrodden, from the legendry freedom fighter, India’s first Education Minister Bharat Ratna, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The House ensures an active and all-round participation in all engagements be it academics, sports culture and other extra-curricular pursuits. All the students are given opportunities to participate and showcase their talent. The House Master’s Period gives the students opportunity and pleasure to learn beyond books and classroom.

Named after the Emperor Ashoka , the students of this House represent attributes such integrity, courage ,ambition and intelligence.

Gandhi House of Modern School stands by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, of peace, non-violence and equality. The students of the House strive to excel in academics as well as sports upholding the values of perseverance, determination, hard work and honesty embodied by the Mahatma .

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam BR was an Indian aerospace scientist and statesman who served as the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007.

One of India’s stalwart freedom fighters, Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai is the leader who inspires the young generations representing the House Lajpat. Laxmibai house of Modern School is the only house amongst the 15 houses named after the female freedom fighter Maharani of Jhansi. It would be interesting to note that when the school was founded, this House was meant solely for girls. The House with the killer instinct, with the record number of accolades for the March Past on the Annual Sports Day, their dedication and perseverance is evident in all that they do

Named after the first Prime Minister of independent India and one of the greatest personalities India has ever had, Jawahar Lal Nehru, the members of the House are inspired by his progressive vision and indomitable spirit in whatever they endeavour to do during their journey through school life. These values can be seen as each student strives to achieve the best for his House on various platforms, be it academics, co-curricular or sports. They aspire to carry forward the legacy of the architect of modern India.

Indian barrister and statesman, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was an important leader during the struggle for Indian independence.After independence, he served as deputy prime minister, minister of home affairs, minister of information, and minister of states.

His iron will and steely determination are the qualities the students of Patel house aspire to uphold.

Pratap House stands for perfection and eminence and the students embody all these virtues in their day to day work. Pratap house displays exemplary performance in every sphere be it sports, academics or extra-curricular activities. The House aims to strive for a holistic development and outshine everyone in all fields.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh was the leader of Sikh Empire in the northwest of Indian subcontinent during early 19th century. He was popularly known as Sher-e-Punjab. Members of prestigious Ranjit house are known to uphold similar values, self- motivation and valour.

The students share leadership tasks among group members. They firmly believe that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Ranjit house take immense pride in its superbly talented members and their love to display it to perfection on various fora including the biennial House Functions.

Subhash House is named after one of our nation’s most charismatic and inspiring leaders. A go-getter of all sorts, many of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s qualities – his indomitable courage, fierce loyalty, undying patriotism and his dynamism – form the bedrock of the values of this House. He is a role model for the members of the House, who aspire to achieve the levels of passion, ambition and drive that powered his journey. His life and his values are the lights that illuminate the path of the students as they display their talents in the various fields of school life.

Named after the great Maratha warrior Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was among the first four Houses set up in the year 1936. The House boasts of students who are good in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. It has consistently done well in all the above spheres as the talent of the students is explored during the House Master’s period and exposure is provided to each child according to his field of interest.The last House Function was held in May, 2018

This House has been named after Bharat Ratna, Shri Lal Bahadur. Trustworthiness was Shastriji’s watchword and integrity, his hallmark.

The House takes inspiration from the leader of the Indian independence movement, Bal Gangadhar Tilak. His patriotism and perseverance are qualities that the students of the house aspire to imbibe. In keeping with the name of the House, the students have been outstanding achievers, be it excelling in the Inter House music competitions to standing out in the March Past and other sports events. They continue to excel in various fields in order to do the school proud.

Tagore House, named after Rabindranath Tagore, continues to be guided by his wisdom reflected in his works. Upholds the values of integrity and fortitude.
